7 Ways You Can Be More Sustainable This Earth Month
It’s Earth Month! Now is the perfect time to reflect on your carbon footprint and the ways you can help do your part to care for our beautiful earth. Here are some habits we’re picking up in our efforts to make our lifestyle a little more sustainable. Join us!
Repurpose empty products
Repurpose your empty Andalou products by using them as vessels to plant flowers and watch them bloom this spring. Toner and cleanser bottles can be used as a vase for fresh flowers or use your empty toner mists to water cacti and other plants. Use your empty Andalou cream and mask jars to store Q-tips, cotton balls, or bobby pins, or even to store spices. Feeling artsy? Try using your empty Andalou jars as water cups for painting projects!
Recycle Andalou packaging
If you don’t have a repurposing use for your Andalou empties, make sure you’re recycling your products when they run out. All Andalou jars, bottles, and tubes are widely recyclable and 100% BPA-free. We use materials like PET plastic and glass that can be easily recycled. Just wash out any leftover product before tossing them in your recycling bin.
Limit water use
Using waterless products helps limit the amount of water that gets used in product formulations. Consider using a waterless cleansing balm to remove dirt and makeup and rinsing with a damp cloth. Have you tried Andalou’s new Deep Hydration Cleansing Balm yet? You can find this eco-friendly cleanser exclusively at your local Whole Foods Market.
Try reusable solutions
Swapping out single-use makeup remover wipes or cotton balls for washcloths or reusable cotton pads is any easy way to help limit the amount of waste inundating our landfills.
