You may have noticed variations in our products over the last couple of years, and we want to be transparent with you about why this happened and what we’ve done to fix it.
When a previous company purchased Andalou, they moved manufacturing overseas, changing some of our beloved formulas. While there is no safety concern, we feel the product you received did not meet the quality standards expected from Andalou.
We are no longer a part of that company and are now back to producing all our products here in the USA. Formulas that have returned to their original recipes are now shipping directly to customers who purchase from Andalou.com, as well as to our retailers.

LOOK FOR “MADE IN USA"
If you are in store, look for the “Made in USA” (instead of “Born in the USA”) messaging on the bottom or back of the outside packaging to make sure you’re getting the formula you know and love.
How do I know if I got a product that had these quality issues?
Look for “Made in the USA” printed on the back of the product. If your product says “Born in the USA” but not “Made in the USA”, you may have noticed these quality issues. For some of our serums and older products, you may see neither. In that case, please reach out to usa@andalou.com with the lot code printed on the bottom of the product.
How can I make sure that I’m purchasing the right formula from now on?
You can be assured that when you purchase from us directly through our website, you will receive the most up to date formulas, including all those that are back to their original formulas. In stores, please make sure you see “Made in the USA” printed on the back or bottom of the outer packaging before you purchase.
Can I expect the USA made products to be available in stores, too?
We always sell the most up-to-date products to our retailers, but some retailers may still have older inventory, which we unfortunately cannot control. We are continuously working to ensure that all retailers are aligned with our latest product offerings. In the meantime, please look for the “Made in the USA” printed on the back or bottom of outer packaging when you’re shopping in stores.
Can I get a replacement for the product I purchased that was part of the quality issues?
For qualifying purchases, we would love to send you a new product free of charge. Please reach out to usa@andalou.com with the name of the product you were disappointed in and your address, and we will send you a replacement product.
